“The Reservation process and pre-departure communication was very clear, and I greatly appreciate that Jo called me back internationally by caller ID when she missed my call.
Accommodation was just fine and the meals were Wonderful!!
The Conservation training was great. We learned a lot without feeling like we were in school – I think the current balance is pretty good.
Han took the PADI open water course. Tracy was extremely attentive (with the advantage of having only 1 student). We’re both glad Han learned where she did, with whom she did. She was very nervous to start with, but Tracy was a great confidence builder. She learned well enough to pretty well take care of herself when she came out and had to dive in groups with more people to run into.
The Diving/Snorkeling was excellent. Diving deep sand flats (with a dose of coral at the edge) was educational for me – dive operators only ever take you to the dense portions of the coral ecosystems, but leave out this other important portion of the sea. Still, when not measuring conch, I really do prefer the coral and spearing lionfish along the way.
The ReefCI team communicate!!! In some places, one person doesn’t know what the other is doing, but your staff communicate with each other and us very well. Everyone was very friendly and willing to answer tons of questions.
ReefCI is unique – this isn’t the sort of thing you can do elsewhere, and considering the remoteness of the island and the small number of clients you can handle, you keep your prices reasonable. We got diving, dive training, snorkeling, spearfishing, handline and rod fishing, training on cleaning conch, lobster, and lionfish in addition to conservation and fish ID education.
