“Totally Amazing Trip”

The best thing about ReefCI was that I learnt so much and I had such a great time doing it. It was incredible being able to dive three, sometimes four, times a day with each dive being more spectacular than the last. At first, I only noticed the large life forms on the reef and really struggled with the most basic fish identification. However, with each dive and with training from the ReefCI staff, I started to notice smaller and smaller creatures and began to understand the incredible subtleties of the reef.
The staff were great both on and off the island. Jo was incredibly helpful in the office and answered all of my questions before the trip and upon arrival in Belize. She also suggested and organised some great trips on the weekends.
All of the staff on the island were very nice and attentive. The support staff were very friendly and worked very hard to make everything run as smoothly as possible, even when the weather posed some problems. Simon was a great instructor both for my open water and advanced open water training. He explained everything clearly and was incredibly patient. He even spent some extra time with me one-on-one to help me get comfortable being the water without my mask on. All the staff were very knowledgeable about all of the different aquatic life forms on the reef and explained all of the conservation training in a clear but fun way. The staff really made my experience with ReefCI very enjoyable.
