ReefCI COVID-19 Reopening Procedures

ReefCI will reopen to volunteers November 1st, 2020 and we look forward to safely returning to our marine conservation efforts.  The Belize government is reopening the country to international travelers October 1st, hence we remain hopeful that things will return to normal shortly and we look forward to picking up where we left off prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Below is a link to the Belize Tourism Board website that provides the most up-to-date information for international travelers coming to Belize in this new COVID era we are living in.  There is a great graphic/picture that breaks down the process for international travelers.  In addition, you will find weekend hotels that have been given the green light by the Belize government to host international travelers  – these are called Gold Star approved hotels.  All hotels in Belize are not permitted to open until given “Gold Star” status by the Belize government.  There is a list of government approved Gold Star hotels on the link below.   Make sure your weekend Gold Star  hotel is located in Placencia!   Please be patient as everyone is trying their best to reopen the world while making it as safe as possible.

Please follow the link below. The website is clear and easy to understand for volunteers and lays out what you need to do to enter the county.  Belize is not barring any nationality 🙂 – all nations welcomed but all must follow the entry protocol.

When the coronavirus pandemic passes and the world returns to normal, we hope you can join us for a marine conservation experience of a lifetime. Now more than ever, we need your support!
