A big thanks to all of our 2025 volunteers who helped Reef Conservation International make a conservation impact!
2025 marine conservation achievements by the numbers:
- 7105 Invasive Lionfish removed from the Sapodilla Cayes Marine Reserve Park waters
- 16,726 pounds of plastic and trash removed from the ocean via our volunteer beach cleanups
- 407 baby sea turtles successfully hatched and returned to the sea from their natal island – Tom Owens Caye
- 354 marine conservation presentations by our staff to increase awareness and knowledge of reef ecosystems.
Reef Conservation International’s mission is to protect our oceans through hands-on conservation action and marine environmental education and awareness. We empower everyday global citizens to take an active role in directly protecting and conserving the Belize Barrier Reef and our oceans that we love via our marine conservation projects and environmental education and awareness.
